Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (1769-1852)
Wax bust of Wellington on a round alabaster socle, under a glass shade on a wooden base. It bears the inscription: 'Published by W. Cuming 1839 London. Cave W. AL Fecit 1819'. It was presented to the Royal Naval Museum, Greenwich, in April 1924 by a Mrs West from the collection of W. C. West, presumably her husband.
