Portrait plaque
White wax profile plaque, depicting Sir John Franklin (1786-1847), head and shoulders, facing right. The plaque is on a black background in a gilt and white oval mount. It has a glazed, black and gold frame. A label on the reverse reads: 'Sir John Franklin in wax modelled by a lady in Tasmania when he was governor there from 1837 to 1843 C.P. Kaye.'
