Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). Plaster relief with the sitter shown in profile and wearing a uniform. who is facing left. The figure is coloured pink on a white background. It is mounted in a green velvet frame and is glazed with a gilt metal, oval surround. Signed: 'Tassie F. 1805' on the base. 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON DIED IN THE GLORIOUS BATTLE OFF TRAFALGAR OCT 21 1805' (on truncation).
