Portrait plaque
Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). An oval brass plaque depicting Nelson in uniform facing left (a brooch pin is visible at the back). The plaque is mounted in a square wooden frame, which has a suspension ring with a lion's head attachment. Hand written on the back: 'Viscount Nelson, Died in the hour of Victory, Oct 21st 1805 aged 47.'
