Submarine cable section
A section of submarine cable. Length of submarine cable with the various layers stripped back and bound with copper wire. Core is of seven copper wires covered with gutta percha and jute packing. Outer sheathing consists of sixteen galvanised iron wires. The outer covering is tarred hemp and a smooth covering.
