Mounted submarine cable
A portion of submarine cable mounted on a wooden block. The core consists of one copper wire covered with gutta percha which in turn is covered with a copper sheath and hemp packing. The inner sheathing consists of twelve galvanised wires and the outer sheathing consists of fourteen galvanised wires.
