Soup tureen and lid: Port Line
A silver plated soup tureen with a lid used by the Port Line shipping company. The bowl has two handles with the Port Line badge engraved on the side. The lid has a mushroom shaped finial with a hole for the ladle. The maker's mark is engraved on the tureen "PORT LINE, ELKINGTON PLATE ENGLAND, K, 33715, E & CO, ELKINGTON PLATE ENGLAND, V, BP". The bowl is dented and the lid does not fit properly. The soup tureen is marked PLT0580.1 and the lid is marked PLT0580.2.
