Pocket book

Pocket book/housewife belonging to Sir Richard Grindall (1750-1820). It contains a horn-covered penknife, folding rule, combined ear pick and tweezers, scissors and dividers. A pocket book in the other compartment contains a gout cure recipe and pencil sketch of Nelson. Printed in gold letters in the interior: 'PRESENTED TO SIR RICHARD GRINDALL IN 1795 WITH AN UNPUBLISHED PENCIL SKETCH PROFILE PORTRAIT OF LORD NELSON ON THE FLY LEAF DONE FROM MEMORY BY SIR RICHARD GRINDALL IN 1806.'
