Cut-throat razor
Cut-throat razor with steel blade and horn handle reputedly associated with Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). Stored with the razor is a letter dated 13 April 1915 and a note detailing the history of the razor. Impressed with the maker's name 'SNOOK', this may be William Snook, Catherine Street, Salisbury 1791-1843. Said to have been used to shave Nelson by Richard Battersby, barber on HMS ‘Victory.
