Sandwich, seal of the corporation, 1836. Below a mural crown, miniature copies of the two sides of the 13th century seal of the Corporation: A mount from which issue three trees with trefoil foliage; over all, a lion passant guardant crowned. A ship with a boat on deck. At base the shield of arms of the barons of the Cinque Ports separating A.D.and 1836. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
