Cast of a halfpenny token, 1793, commemorating President George Washington (1732-1799). Obverse: Bust of the president in a tie-wig. Legend: 'WASHINGTON. PRESIDENT.' Reverse: Starboard broadside view of a full-rigged ship under sail. Legend: 'HALFPENNY 1793'. Inscription (on edge): 'PAYABLE IN ANGLESEY LONDON OR LIVERPOOL'. Two casts obverse and reverse, mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
