Coin cast
Two casts, obverse and reverse of an osella of Doge Sebastiano Venier. Obverse: St Mark giving banner to kneeling Doge, whilst an angel places the ducal cap on his head. Legend: 'SEB . VENERIO * *PRIN . MVNVS*'. Exergue: 'ANNO. I*'. Reverse: View of Venice. Legend: '1577 . MAGNA DEI MESERICORDIA . SVP . NOS'. Commemorates the disappearance of the plague from the town.
