Neptune (1875); Recreation vessel; Yacht
        
        Scale: 1:32. A half block  model of the yacht, Neptune (1875) made entirely of wood in bread and butter fashion. The lower section of the hull has been painted a creamy white colour (the lower portion of which is missing) above which is a thin horizontal band of a copper coloured paint with a black section of topsides to deck level. The deck is painted black and is fitted with a single stump mast  together with a bowsprit projecting over the stem post, both of which are made in natural wood and varnished. The hull is fitted with an upright stem with the keel and rudder running at an angle which is deeper at the stern above which is an overhanging counter stern.  The whole model is mounted on an oak backboard with moulded edging and has been varnished.
