Isolde (1895); Recreation vessel; Yacht; 40 rater
Scale:Unknown. A half block design model of the 40 rater racing yacht Isolde (1895). The hull is made from horizontal wooden planks constructed in bread and butter fashion and is painted a metallic copper colour below the waterline with white topsides above to the level of the deck. The convex-shaped bow is fitted with a stump bowsprit whilst the long overhanging counter stern finishes to a small angled transom. There is a single stump mast mounted on deck indicating a cutter rig. The whole model is mounted on a wooden varnished/polished rectangular backboard with moulded edges to which is fixed a plaque.
