Aim; Cargo vessel; Schooner, Topsail

Scale: 1:48. Full hull model of the 'Aim' (1840), a topsail schooner. The model is built plank on frame and is decked, equipped and rigged, including a small tender stowed in the waist. The hull is inscribed ‘Aim London’ on the stern, and although despite its name and port of registry, it has not been possible to trace an actual schooner of this name. At this scale, the model represents a vessel measuring 90 feet in length by 20 feet in the beam. It was formery part of the Mercury Collection.
