Plaque inscribed "222 Himalaya - 6 guns - 1853 built at Blackwall for P&O Company and bought in 1854. An iron, screw troopship. Dimensions: - 340ft. 5in. Beam 46ft. 1 3/4in. Speed 12 3/4 knots".
