Warship; Battleship
Scale: Unknown. A half block design model of the starboard side of a Royal Naval turret ship (circa 1866), made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The single deck is devoid of detail apart from two wide-diameter turrets, fore and aft, and what may be a retractable funnel aft of the first turret, all painted gloss black. There is a starboard propeller shaft and mounting. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame with bevelled edge. On the bottom section of the frameis inscribed ‘(15)’.
