Haughty Belle (1898); Cargo vessel; Sailing barge; Thames sailing barge
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the Thames sailing barge Haughty Belle'(1898), made entirely in wood and mostly polished or varnished. The hull is straight-sided, flat-bottomed and made from a single piece of timber that has been polished or varnished apart for a single wide strake that is painted black. Features include a hatch forward and a much longer hatch aft of amidships. The model is displayed on a rectangular untreated mahogany baseboard with sloping edges.
