Cargo vessel; Lighter; Swim-head lighter

Scale: Unknown. A half plating model of a swim-head lighter (early 20th century) made entirely in wood from two pieces of timber joined horizontally, and stained and polished a deep brown finish. The hull is double-ended with steeply raked stem and stern posts and the bow is slightly raised. The hull is marked with fine black lines to show the plating arrangement.
