Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Henry Wood's patent anchor sanctioned in 1896. The model is made entirely in brass and there are the remains of a protective lacquer on its surface. The shank swivels in an arc of about 90 degrees with a hinge attached to a rectangular plate underneath the crown. The crown itself has an aperture in the centre through which the bottom of the shank and hinge passes and is prevented from slipping off by the rectangular plate. The plate has two prominent grooves along its length. There is a 'D' ring at the top of the shank that pivots on a riveted pin.
