Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Spencer's proposed anchor (1820-1822). The model is made in wood with a lead ring and painted a uniform black. The shank is circular in section ending in a square section at the top with a ledge either side (one missing). The arms are identical but the flukes and palms are different. One palm is conventional in shape, the other palm is leaf shape and is attached to the fluke with three rivets. On its face there is an illegible paper label. There are two paper labels applied to the shank, one marked '22', the other is illegible.
