Component model; Sectional model

Scale: 1:16. A model depicting a beam connected to the side of a wooden ship by shelf pieces, chock, and an iron hanging knee. The model has been made mostly from wood, and has been constructed in exactly the same way as the vessel it depicts. The model has been stained and varnished and appears to be made of oak. The hanging knee has been made of brass, and has been secured to the hull at an angle of approx 75 degrees and secured to the chock and beam using metal pins. One half of a gun port is shown.

On the inner face of the gun port "15" has been painted. On the inner face of the model "H16" has been stamped, and a paper label has been applied marked "16".
