Component model; Sectional model
Scale: Unknown. Model made in wood depicting the beam of a wooden vessel with two sections of the ships hull or frame. It represents the type of beam recommended by Mr Joseph Tucker for his system of continuous bolting (circa 1851). The wooden parts of the model have been stained and varnished and the frame bolts have been made in brass. The model has 'D' painted on it in white and a paper label has been applied marked '20.' The model has been marked 'Top' to indicate the upper face of the beam.
