Passenger vessel; Dghajsa

Scale: Unknown. Model of a Maltese dghajsa tal pass or work boat, used as an inter island passenger carrier. The model is made entirely of wood and the hull is brightly painted in white, blue, yellow, and green. There is an oculus on either side of the bow, "goza" on port and starboard stern quarters, and on port and starboard sides "F.7". The bulwarks have blue and yellow rectangular panels and their inboards are painted green. The bow is pointed and the stem post is very tall and decoratively shaped. There is provision for a mast at the bow. The model is equipped with a pair of oars and a rudder. There is a large open hatch where the bottom frames of the boat can be seen. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden baseboard that has been carved.
