Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1860
Cap with cap badge. Cap of a captain. Small topped cap of 1856 with gilt buttons for the chinstay and a very square peak which is covered with cloth and embroidered in oak leaf pattern, two features introduced in 1860. The badge has a ring around the anchor.
