Bowl: Brass painted black. Glazed top and bottom. Set in double gimbals. White inside with black lubber spike. Azimuth circle with bearing and steering sights. Brass verge ring marked 0 - 90 quadrantally.
Card: White with black markings graduated to quarter points and in degrees quadrantally. Domed float in centre.
Needle: Unsighted.
Pivot: Unsighted.
Sights: Both bearing and steering sights are prismatic and moveable.
