Bowl: A brass bowl painted black set in double gimbals. Has a heavy metal weight at the bottom with hole inside to allow for illumination. Protruding lubber line.
Card: A white card with black markings graduated to points and 0 - 360 by degrees. Reduced diameter.
Needle: Unsighted.
Pivot: Unsighted.
Azimuth circle: Circle carries prismatic sights with jet reflector for celestial readings. Has weight with spirit level opposite sights.
