Liquid compass and binnacle

Liquid compass
Bowl: Brass bowl painted black. Has filler hole on side, locking flange and heavy weight at base. White on inside with black lubber spike.

Card: A mica card with black markings graduated to quarter points.

Needle: Unsighted.

Pivot: Unsighted.

Binnacle: The binnacle is square and of metal with a hinged glass flap and candle lamps. It was originally fitted with two lamps, one right hand and one left, but only one remains.
