        Sixteen buttons. 
Ten of the buttons have rope twist edge. Within a raised circular border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown above a fouled anchor where the rope goes over the right-hand side of the stock, under the shank and than over the shank and then trails under the right-hand arm similar to buttons in use between 1827 - 1834 for Captain, Commanders, Masters, Surgeons, Pursers and Midshipmen.
