Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1827-1843
Button. Domed. Rope twist edge. Within a flat circular border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown with a fouled anchor below. The rope is tied to the ring, then goes under the right-hand side of the stock, under the shank to the left, then over the shank to the right and under the right arm. Shank is broken. Commissioned officers.
