Heeling error corrector mounting tube.
Aluminium disc painted buff, at the centre of which is mounted a hollow brass tube which has a slit along its length which is graduated 25 - 60
Where German naval compasses were mounted on a shelf, as was sometimes done, this vertical tube was secured below the shelf and on it could be mounted the usual horizontal and vertical correctors.
