Small card pill box containing a 45 mm piece of H4’s mainspring, scratched 'from John Harrison Prize chronometer/No.4/ £2,000 23.XII.1923'. This piece was in the possession of watchmaker Heinrich Otto (to whom Gould presumably presented it) and thence to Charles Allix Esq., who presented it to the NMM.
