Marine chronometer
Marine chronometer. Movement and dial in a later glazed box. Chronometer has circular base with mirror supported by three brass legs. Blue steel minute and second hands. Separate small dial for seconds hands. Aperture in dial to show hours, Roman numerals with pointer. Escapement is a jewelled semi-deadbeat verge on John Harrison's plan.
