Card: A mica band 1.4" (3.6 cm) wide attached to the needles by a wire framework. The card is white with black markings graduated to quarter points and 0 - 360 in degrees

Needle: The four needles, in two pairs, are all the same length, are each enclosed in a metal tube and all go through the float. Length 3.5" (8.9 cm)

Pivot: The pivot is incorporated into the domed float and the jewel can be removed by a screw on top of the dome. There is a metal ring soldered to the base of the dome.
