Liquid compass

Card: A canvas covered mica band 1.5" (3.8 cm) wide attached to the needles by a wire framework. The card is white with black markings graduated to eight points and 0 - 360 in degrees.

Needle: The six needles, in three pairs, are each held in a metal tube and all are attached to the domed float by a metal framework. Lengths 2.6" (6.7 cm), 4.2" (10.5 cm) & 4.75" (12.1 cm)

Pivot: The pivot cap is incorporated into the domed float and the jewel can be removed by a screw at the top of the dome.

There are two unstretched spring-like attachments on the framework that carries the needles.
