Archer class (1801)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan with stern board outline, section showing the fitting of channels and netting stanchions, sheer lines with some inboard detail, and longitudinal half-breadth proposed and approved for the first batch of 10 Archer class 12-gun brig-rigged gun vessels ordered in 1800. The plan was also used for the remaining Archer class ordered from 1804 - totalling some 48 additional ships in the class.
The plan includes modifications for converting HMS Hardy (1804) to a bullock vessel in November 1816 and later for converting the Havock (1805) in March 1818.
Signed by Evan Napean [Secretary to the Board of Admiralty, 1795-1804].
Signed by John Henslow [Surveyor of the Navy, 1784-1806] and William Rule [Surveyor of the Navy, 1793-1813].
