Work placements at the National Maritime Museum

We provide a special 1-week work experience programme for school students from the Royal Borough of Greenwich throughout the year. Students spend time working across a variety of departments to gain a broad insight to different types of careers in the arts and heritage sector. For more information contact nmorris@rmg.co.uk.

If you are not a school student from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, you can find out about other work experience opportunities here.

Young Freelancer Scheme at the National Maritime Museum

The Young Freelancer role is a flexible and alternative opportunity for a young person aged 18-25 to gain access into the cultural and heritage sector. Working on an ad-hoc basis, the Young Freelancer will focus on assisting the running of the Youth Programme, alongside working with wider members of the Learning and Interpretation team. This role is designed to equip the young person with the skills and training needed to pursue a self-employed career.
