The Saturday Art Club is looking for new members to join our 2025-6 cohort!
Part of the National Saturday Club Network, our club is a free weekly creative workshop for young people aged 13-16 who live, work or study in Greenwich. It’s a great opportunity to develop new skills, make new friends, and showcase your artwork in a national exhibition!
Sessions take place every Saturday 10am-1pm during term time in the National Maritime Museum’s Learning Space. The workshops are FREE, and we provide materials, snacks and cover travel expenses for trips to other cultural venues.
Workshops are facilitated by a professional artist, who will guide you to develop new skills in critical thinking and creative practice. They will introduce you to working across different artistic disciplines, from printmaking and textiles to sculpture and collage. You will also exhibit your work, visit other cultural venues like the National Portrait Gallery, London Zoo or Tate Britain, and earn a Bronze or Silver Arts Award.
As part of the National Saturday Club, we also take part in national events across the year including:
- Visits to leading cultural institutions;
- The London Visit, in which club members showcase their work in a pop-up exhibition;
- Masterclass with a leading creative industry professional;
- The Summer Show and Graduation Ceremony where club members exhibit a final piece at the prestigious Somerset House.
Fill out this form on the National Saturday Club website to join the 2025-26 programme, or keep reading to find out more about what's involved and hear from previous Club Members.
