Newspaper cuttings relating to Thursfield’s career and family:
(1) The ‘Berkhampsted Times’ newspaper published on 29 July 1898, with an article on the annual prizegiving at Berkhampsted School, during which Earl Spencer made a speech mentioning Thursfield’s success as a cadet on HMS BRITANNIA.
(2) A page from ‘Black and White’ magazine published in 1910, showing a photograph of Thursfield playing a game of quoits on board the battleship HMS INVINCIBLE (1907).
(3) Three envelopes containing various newspaper cuttings. Also a note Thursfield made about his retirement, addressed to his sister Dorothea Holland in 1932.
