Table plans, menu cards and magazine cuttings relating to the annual reunion dinners of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (Auxiliary Patrol) Club at the Connaught Rooms, London, in the period 1941-1949. Menu cards and a table plan from dinners organized by The Royal Navy Club of 1765 and 1785, with a related letter to Thursfield from Commander Kenneth Gofton-Salmond, discussing arrangements for a forthcoming dinner to entertain the First Lord of the Admiralty, dated 12 July 1947. Booklet from a commemorative function to mark the end of the 75th session of the Naval Architecture Departement at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, on 20 September 1948. Ephemera relating to the dinner to inaugurate the appeal for the holiday training ship FOUDROYANT ex HMS TRINCOMALEE (1817) at the Mansion House, on 12 July 1950. Also items relating to ‘The Times’ newspaper, The Worshipful Company of Dyers, The Athenaeum Club, The Society of Civil Engineers and The English-Speaking Union of the British Empire.
