A Dutch flagship close-hauled in a strong breeze
A free drawing from close under the lee bow of a ship close-hauled on the port tack in a strong breeze. Fore and main topsails settles; sheets and tacks of fore course raised; mizzen half brailed up. Topgallant yards crossed. There is a flag at the fore and pendant at the main.
This is an unsigned pencil drawing by the Younger. The work is accurately drawn, but is faint and possibly an offset strengthened with pencil.
