Royal Naval Museum, Somerset House, Exhibition of models
When the Admiralty moved into new premises in Whitehall, London, in 1725, it was decided that the Navy Board, over whom the Admiralty had responsibility, should move to a site much closer; from Seething Lane behind the Tower of London to new offices at Somerset House. The Royal Naval Museum, here exhibiting ship models, was also located at Somerset House. Print
