Prince's Island. HMS Rattlesnake passing, Pioneer in tow
This watercolour depicts a mountainous island with vegetation depicted in green along shore. In the foreground, a sailing ship tows a smaller vessel. Signed, lower left, ‘CT’. The traditional title of the drawing is ‘Prince's Island, HMS Rattlesnake passing, Pioneer in tow’. This may refer to Príncipe, now part of São Tomé and Príncipe in the Gulf of Guinea.
