Portrait.

The artist is likely to be Casimir Carbonnier 1787-1873, mainly known as a miniaturist but also a painter, who though French worked and exhibited in London from 1815 to 1836. The BM attributes this and a portrait of Earl St Vincent in old age, also engraved by Charles Turner, to him. [PvdM 4/13]
