Study of wooden mooring buoys

Medium includes graphite. May be by George Stanfield (and the inscription is not by Clarkson) but good, or possibly by Edward Duncan who did this sort of thing routinely. A model barrel in the Bagshawe Collection is practically identical to the buoy in the foreground in manner of apparent construction. [PvdM 9/04]
