Pictorial index map of the Moon, with principal features marked. Note: 'Divided into section no.s of large moon map. Sections are independent &, in general, overlap. Paralleles of lat. round limb, meridians of long. on equator.' Pasted to the back of the map is a letter from astronomer W. H. Pickering, dated August 14, 1924, which describes a map which Wilkins had sent him as "an excellent example of conscientious and thorough amateur work" and suggests "it appears to contain more accurate detail than any other lunar map hitherto issued".
