A rough sketch of ship’s timbers at the Castle’s Yard in Charlton. Henry Castle founded his shipbreaking firm in Westminster in 1838, while Sidney A. Castle founded the Charlton and Woolwich yards in 1864. The banner reads, 'Castles Ship Timber. Established 1838 Henry Castle Shipbreaker Westminster 1864 Sidney A Castle Charlton and Woolwich.
