Imperieuse (1852)

Scale 1:48. Plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan design drawing for the Imperieuse (1852), a 51 gun steam frigate. The drawing bears the signatures of Admiral Baldwin Wake Walker [Surveyor of the Navy 1848-1861], Isaac Watts [Assistant Surveyor 1848-1860] and John Edye [Assistant Surveyor 1832-1855]. The title of the plan is "A drawing for building a frigate of 50 guns to be propelled by a screw named Imperieuse". The drawing is very fragile, torn and in pieces.
