A Dutch pink in a heavy sea
Closely related in both composition and in its economical use of the pen to PAE5286, this drawing may have been made as a compositional study for use by the artist or one of his studio assistants. It shows three pinks and a larger sailing vessel in a rough but not stormy sea.
