A barquentine
This oil sketch shows a sailing vessel on the shore beside a wall. A walled city or other structure is visible in the distance. Signed by the artist at lower right. Inscribed on the reverse, 'Solidor / St Malo'. The first word has been crossed through. It may have referred to the Solidor Tower in the town of Saint-Servan, which merged with Saint-Malo in 1967.
